In the provincial final, a battle of two undefeated teams, Saskatoon Convent of Sion defeated the Moose Jaw Central Cyclones (then the Basketbabes) 25-22 to capture their third consecutive provincial title. Moose Jaw led 8-4 at the quarter. The game was tied at 13 at the half and Moose Jaw led 17-16 at the three-quarter mark. The teams traded field goals in the final quarter until Sion iced it at the line. At 22-22, Frances Provost hit one of two free throws. Cheryl Fryalund missed a free throw for Moose Jaw. Frances Provost hit the final field goal and was selected tournament MVP while scoring 10. Bernadette Provost and Maureen McDonald each added 4 for Sion, Lynda Leier 3, Noreen Provost 2 and Lorraine Monette 2, while Margaret McAllister, Mary Jo Leddy, Sharon Scissons, Linda Walecke and Barbara Battiste were scoreless. Sion was 7-25 from the line. Marg Currie led the Basketbabes with 7. Mary Livingstone added 3, Barb McLelland 3, Cheryl Fryalund 2, Karen Saul 2, Patty Ewart 2, Pudden 2 and Karen Davies 1, while Kerr and Watson were scoreless. Sion coach Myrna Levorson was a teammate of Central coach Arlene McGinn (nee Raycroft) on the 1959 Adilman Aces team which represented Canada at the Pan Am Games.
