In the provincial final, the Saskatoon Nutana Collegiate Blues defeated the Regina Sacred Heart Saints 34-29; 32-33 (Total: 66-62). Both games were played on the same day, one at 2:30 and the next at 8:30.

In game one, Nutana edged Sacred Heart 34-29 as Joan Benson scored 16 and Eleanor Currie 6. Marg Jacobs led the Saints with 14. The Saints led 8-7 after one quarter. The Blues led 20-15 at the half and 25-24 after three quarters.

In game two, Sacred Heart nipped Nutana 33-32 but lost the total-point series by four. Marg Bailey hit the winner for the Saints with 30 seconds to play. The Blues led 26-10 at the half. Marg Jacobs led the Saints with 12. Marlene Bailey added 8 and Carol Vicq 7. Janice Barry led the Blues with 9. Joan Benson added 7 and Eleanor Currie 5. Nutana stars Judy Jenkins, Judy Holt and Joan Benson later went on to join the Saskatoon Aces, who captured the 1959 national senior A women’s title.
