In the semis, the Vanguard Valkyrs dispatched the Hanley Sabres 75-67 as Ken Porter scored 29, Colin Pollard 22 and Kris Peters 10. Jamie Ashdown led the Sabres with 20. Kelly Ballard added 16 and Lyle Haight 14.

        In the other semi, the Kinistino R.J. Humphrey Blues clipped the Frontier Raiders 68-57 as Craig Eros scored 25, Pat Porter 19 and Darren Boyd 10. Kirk Lillestolen led the Raiders with 16. Doug Hassett added 12 and John Armstrong 12.

        In the bronze medal match, the Hanley Sabres stomped the Frontier Raiders 102-55 as Dave Bona scored 22 and Jamie Ashdown 21. Rick Peakman led the Raiders with 15. Terry Anderson added 13. The Raiders also included Kirk Lillestolen, Doug Hassett, John Armstrong.

In the final, the Kinistino R.J. Humphrey Blues edged Vanguard Valkyrs 57-56 as Craig Eros scored 21 and Pat Porter 16. Ken Porter led Valkyrs with 28. Kris Peters added 13. Blues coach Bill Simpson told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix that “the pressure we put on them was probably the big part (in the win). We made them turn the over at a few key moments down the stretch. Ken Porter notched a putback with four seconds to play to draw the Valkyrs within one but the Blues were able to kill off the remaining time on the clock. Valkyrs coach Richard Berreth said “we probably should have moved the ball outside and taken another three-point shot.”
