In the other quarterfinal, the Yorkton Regional Raiders and North Battleford St. Thomas College Saints withdrew on the eve of the competition.
In the semis, the Yorkton Bears defeated the Estevan Royals 36-25 as Ken Derkatch scored 11. Allan Blevins led Estevan with 17.
In the other semi, the Melville Cobras defeated Moose Jaw 39-21 despite arriving just three minutes before they’d have had to forfeit the game because of a bus breakdown. Jack Stoyko paced the Cobras with 17. Wayne Ferguson led Moose Jaw with 11.
In the bronze semis, the Estevan Royals dusted Moose Jaw 66-25 as Allan Blevins scored 21. Ed Cochrane led Moose Jaw with 9.
In the bronze medal match, the Estevan Royals whipped the Weyburn Eagles 40-17 as Allan Blevins scored 14, J McCallum 9 and Wayne Holley 8. Ray Link led the Eagles with 8. R Kujat added 5 and D Hammer 4.
In the final, Gary Holstein scored 14 to lead the Yorkton Regional Raiders past the Melville Cobras 35-25. Dennis Williams and Jim Harman each added 5. Don Johns led Melville with 8. Cecil Lake added 4.
