In the quarterfinals, held in Foremost, the host Forettes clubbed the Calgary Rundle Cobras 134-18 as Sarah Nibler scored 20 and Lindsay Haraga 18. Eight Forettes hit double figures.
The Milk River Erle Rivers Novas whipped the Vilna Mustangs 110-13 as Bille Sue Blackmer scored 14, Leanne Kuhl 14 and Julia Lindeman 14. Connie Sirant led the Vipers with 6.
The Niton Riders dumped the Fairview St. Thomas More Kodiaks 69-46 after leading 29-20 at the half. Jill Schulte paced the Riders with 20. Amy Merrifield added 16 points and 8 boards. Laurie Ballantyne led the Kodiaks with 23.
In the last quarterfinal, the Olds Koinonia Christian Royals nipped the New Norway Spartans 32-31 as Barb Vass scored 10 points and nabbed 15 boards. Catherine Reed added 8 steals and 5 boards. Danette Peake paced the Spartans with 9. Cathy Belding added 9.
In the semis, the Foremost Forettes dusted the Niton Riders 69-51.
In the other semi, the Milk River Erle Rivers Novas whipped the Olds Koinonia Christian Royals 110-32.

In the final, the Milk River Erle Rivers Novas defeated the Foremost Forettes 60-57 as Julie O’Hara scored 15, including a key trey down the stretch. Bonnie Miller added 12. Jan Cowie led the Forettes with 18. Sarah Nibler added 15 and Ranae Walsh 13. “It’s a great feeling to win,” said Novas coach Robert Collin. “Especially against Foremost. They have an excellent team. Ranae is probably one of the best post-ups in Southern Alberta.” Foremost coach Glen Magneson told the Medicine Hat News that “I’m really happy because of the way the girls played. We were down by eight, and could have died.”
