In the final, the Coalhurst Trojans defeated the Fairview St. Thomas More Kodiaks 78-74. “St. Thomas had a 6 foot-6 and a 6-4 guy, and we got both of them in (foul) trouble. And when they got in trouble, they had to let us shoot,” Trojans coach DeWayne Duce told the Lethbridge Herald. The Trojans shot 69% from the floor and 58% from the line. Randy Berla paced the Trojans with 34. Dean Trotter added 23 and Brad Erickson 16. Guy Rook led the Kodiaks with 35. “St. Thomas More tried to put a half-court press on us, but when we broke it, we had three on-twos,” said Duce.
