        In round four, the Coaldale Gophers eliminated the Cardston St. Mary’s Blood Reserve Warriors 68-51 as Stan Sovka scored 21 and Walter Dorn 13.

        In the semis, the Nobleford Noble Central Nobles eliminated the Coaldale Gophers 49-48 as Idzard Van Dallen scored 18 and John Konynenbelt 12. Frank Sovka paced the Gopher with 16. Walter Dorn added 13 and Stan Sovka 12.

        In the Southern final, the Stirling Lakers defeated the Nobleford Noble Central Nobles 71-55 as Richard Nelson scored 32 and Myron Eaves 18. Irwin Barby paced the Nobles with 23. John Konynenbelt added 16.

In the opening round of the provincials, held in Edmonton, the Grande Prairie Schooners thrashed Edson 38-14.

In the quarterfinals, the Grande Prairie Schooners whipped the Lacombe Rams 42-24 as Lionel Kyle scored 15.

The Edmonton St. Anthony’s Saints clipped the Red Deer Lindsay Thurber Raiders 31-21 as Stan Kowalski scored 18. The Raiders included Rod Gordon, Randy Marshall, Boiske.

Barrhead whipped the Oyen Aces 53-20 as Dan Cole scored 18. The Aces (coached by Marshall Dzurko) included Dennis Olsen, David Sniderman, Stan Dragland, Erak Chrysler, Kenneth Helm, Grant Barker, Kenneth Ireland, Tom Tracy, Keith Bespflug, Joe Kuzmiski and Frank Campbell.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Stirling Lakers clubbed the Nobleford Noble Central Blades 48-30 as Myron Eaves scored 18. The Blades included Irwin Barby, Idzerd Van Delben, John Konynenbelt, Marvin Koale, Ken Black, Cruix Barley.

        In the semis, Edmonton St. Anthony’s Saints dispatched Barrhead 43-23.

In the other semi, the Stirling Lakers defeated the Grande Prairie Schooners x-x.

In the final, the Edmonton St. Anthony’s Saints whipped the Stirling Lakers 53-38 as Stan Kowalski scored 28, Andy Blackwater 12, Mike Blanchfield 7, Aubrey Hebrig 4 and Ray Wild 2, while Ron LaFleur, Ray St. Arnold, John Kelly and Gil Perron were scoreless.
