In the quarterfinals, held in Grande Prairie, the Edmonton Austin O’Brien Crusaders dumped Drayton Valley Frank Maddock 73-61 as Wojokchowsky scored 22. Kelly and Dusterhoft each scored 19 for Frank Maddock.

        The Fort McMurray Miners dumped the Medicine Hat McCoy Colts 65-57 despite trailing 31-30 at the half. Sam Salter led the Miners with 19. Bruce Rumboldt added 15. B.J. Melle paced the Colts with 23. Jason Martin added 14, while Chris Sanders blocked 12 shots. The Colts (coached by Brian Sanders) also included James Laing, Shawn Unreiner, B.J. Melle.

        The Airdrie Bert Church Chargers torched the Calgary Queen Elizabeth Knights 101-61 as Geoff Franks scored 28. Dan Szgatti led the Knights with 25. Kevin Dickenson added 11.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Red Deer Camille J. Lerouge Voyageurs dusted the Peace River Nomads 100-48 as Jimmy Jardine scored 23 and Rhett Walters 14. Kuntsleben led the Nomads with 20.

In the semis, the Airdrie Bert Church Chargers scorched the Edmonton Austin O’Brien Crusaders 93-64 as Andy McPike scored 20. Segin led the Crusaders with 19.

In the other semi, the Red Deer Camille J. Lerouge Voyageurs whipped the Fort McMurray Miners 86-61 as Derek Zaharko scored 14 and Steve Heinen 12.

In the bronze medal match, the Fort McMurray Miners clipped the Edmonton Austin O’Brien Crusaders 105-90 as Salter scored 38 and Bruce Rumboldt 34. Miners coach Bob McCracken told Fort McMurray Today that “the boys and I are overjoyed because we played the second- third- and fourth-ranked teams and we defeated two of them. We improved steadily right through the year and I think inherently we wanted to prove that we belonged with the best in the province.” Tim Watson led the Crusaders with 30. The Crusaders also included Kevin Schmidt, Segin.

In the final, the Airdrie Bert Church Chargers defeated the Red Deer Camille J. Lerouge Voyageurs 70-49 as Lance Hartwell scored 18, while Andy McPike and Andrew Gustafson each scored 15. The trio, along with fellow starters Andy McPike and Geoff Franks, were phenomenal, coach Allen Gallup told the Calgary Herald. “All five made major contributions” and typically, each scored in double figures through the tournament. The Chargers finished (32-8) on the season. Russell Marquart paced the Voyageurs with 16. Derek Zaharko added 10.
