       The Leduc Tigers defeated the Red Deer Camille J. LeRouge Cougars 62-55 as Dave Forrest scored 32. Dennis Calvert led the Cougars with 27. John Moldowan added 12.        The Vegreville Cougars clipped the Olds Spartans 54-46 as Leon Kassian scored 30. Andy White led the Spartans with 18. The Spartans (coached by Dale McFarland, assistant Don Dalgren) also included Paul Thomsen, Steven Tomaszewski, Marlin Kary, Paul Hudson, Paul Haugen, John Findlay, Warren Woytuck and Andy White.

       In the last quarterfinal, the Calgary Bowness Trojans dispatched the Spirit River Spartans 47-41 as Kevin Pettigrew scored 17. Mark Markovich led the Spartans with 20. Bryan Buck added 16. The Spartans led 10-8, 22-12 and 32-31 at the quarters, and by three with four minutes to play but folded down the stretch. Spartans coach Tom Dirsa told the Grande Prairie Herald Tribune that “we had them where we wanted them but they got away from us.” The Spartans (coached by Dirsa) also included Darryl Demchuk, Bryan Buck, Mike Markovich.

       In the semis, the Sherwood Park Archbishop Jordan Scots defeated the Calgary Bowness Trojans 61-56 in overtime.

       In the other semi, the Leduc Tigers dispatched the Vegreville Cougars 70-58.

       In the bronze medal match, the Calgary Bowness Trojans defeated the Vegreville Cougars 68-32. The Cougars (coach Roy Mills, manager Kevin Kolisniak) included Greg Kostash, James Nawrot, Leonard Mayer, Danny Fournier, Doug Dobush, Brent Bohaychuk, Kevin Beaudette, John Lisoway, Leon Kassian and Arlen Yakimchuk.

       In the final, the Sherwood Park Archbishop Jordan Scots throttled the Leduc Tigers 65-39.
