An amorphous, if not ludicrous league, in which the number of teams participating often tops 50 or even 100, with every squad playing irregular schedules. The league was established in 2000-01 with 8 teams, but ceased operations for a year in 2002-03. When it resumed operations in 2003-04, franchise fees were lowered from $50,000 to $10,000 and a bond requirement was removed in order to attract new teams. The subsequent reduction in initial operating costs allowed the formation of several teams that might otherwise not be possible. But it also resulted in some under-financed ownership groups. Several teams have since failed to complete even their inaugural season due to financial insolvency.

The Wyoming Valley Clutch clipped the Texas Seraphim 113-107.
The Chula Vista Suns defeated the Providence Pilots 101-92.
