The six-foot-10, 225-pound Davis led the Tar Heels in rebounding, with 9.6 per game, blocked shots (2.8), and was second in scoring (13.4) in his sophomore season, but suffered a season-ending injury on Feb. 10 in a game against Duke when he broke a bone in his left shooting wrist.

-June 25/10: Acquire Florida State centre Solomon Alabi, the 50th overall pick, from the Dallas Mavericks for a 2013 2nd round pick and cash considerations.

-July 1/10: Chris Bosh, Amir Johnson, Rasho Nesterovic, Patrick O’Bryant and Antoine Wright become free agents.

-July 6/10: Sign Ed Davis with a multi-year contract.

-July 8/10: The Raptors make an offer sheet to Denver Nuggets restricted free agent Linas Kleiza. Sign Solomon Alabi and Amir Johnson to multi-year contracts.

-July 9/10: Bosh bails for Miami. General manager Bryan Colangelo said Bosh “checked out” and chose not to play in the final few games of the 2010 campaign. He was “mentally checked out, or you know, just wasn’t quite into it down the stretch. He wasn’t the same guy. And I think everybody saw that, just no one wanted to acknowledge it. Both later responded that “if the people felt betrayed, I’m sorry for that. But it wasn’t anything serious. It’s just all fund. You guys know me. I like to have a good time and I like to keep things easygoing. I’m happy with the way I handled things. I don’t think I got out of line at any point. I knew going into this situation, wherever I chose to go, People were going to think I was crazy.” Bosh averaged 20.2 points, 9.4 rebounds, 1.2 blocks and 37 minutes in 509 career games and seven seasons with the Raptors.

-July 09/10: Acquire two 2011 first round draft picks and a trade exception from the Miami Heat in a sign-and-trade for star forward Chris Bosh. Toronto gets back its own 2011 first-round pick, which was originally part of a four-player trade in 2009, and Miami’s 2011 lottery-protected first-round pick.
-July 13/10: Trade Hedo Turkoglu to Phoenix for Leandro Barbosa and centre Dwayne Jones. Turkoglu was in the first year of a $53 million, five year deal. Barbosa is a 6th-year pro from Brazil who average 9.5 ppg in 2009-20. Was named sixth man of the year in the NBA in 2006-7 after average 13.1 ppg, 4.0 apg and 32.7 mpg. “Leandro Barbosa is a player I’m quite familiar with and I’m very pleased that he is coming to Toronto,” said general manager Bryan Colangelo. “His speed, quickness and scoring ability will mesh well with our desired playing style and talented young athletes.” Jones is a 6-10 five year vet who average 1.3 ppg in 83 career games.

-July 19/10: Sign Linas Kleiza to a multi-year contract.

-July 28/10: Acquire David Andersen from Houston for cash and a future 2nd-round draft pick (the 2015 protected second round pick obtained from the Los Angeles Clippers as part of the Hassan Adams trade in Jan. 2009). Anderson average 5.8 ppg and 3.3 rpg in 63 games in the 2010 campaign. “David is a skilled bit that gives us some insurance at the backup centre position,” said Bryan Colangelo. “He will also be a veteran presence and savvy to a relatively young team.” The Australian born Anderson was a 2nd-round draft pick in 2002.

-August 11/10: Trade Marco Belinelli to the New Orleans Hornets for Julian Wright. Wright averaged 8.1 ppg and 4.6 rpg for the Hornets. “This move should help balance the roster and alleviate some of the redundancy we have with our guards,” said general manager Bryan Colangelo. “Julian is another young athletic player that will add depth at the small forward position.” Wright was the 13th pick of the 2007 NBA draft. Belinelli averaged 7.1 ppg, 1.4 rpg and 1.3 apg in 66 games as a Raptor.
