In the B.C. finals, the Vancouver Buzz Bombs defeated the U.B.C. Jr Varsity 41-32; 44-25 (2g-0).

       In the Saskatchewan finals, the Regina Pensioners defeated x.

       In the Ontario playoffs, Hamilton won a four-team tourney with a (3-0) record, defeating second place Windsor N&D 68-36 as Pat Tatham scored 19 and Ann Hurley 12; Ottawa 83-57 (also reported as 84-55); and the London Grads 65-41. Windsor AKO included Jo-Anne Lazarus, Joan Stevenson, Marion Leach.

       In the national round robin tourney, held in Edmonton, the Hamilton Athenas defeated the Vancouver Buzz Bombs 75-53 as Pat Tatham scored 35. The Buzz Bombs were led by Betty Baxter 10.

       The St. John Alpines nipped the host Edmonton KGs 60-59 as Elien MacDonald scored 17 and Karen Lee 13. The KG’s were led by Gail Banford’s 19. Bunny Williams added 9. Alberta’s Judy Fairburn had a pair of free throws with 20 seconds to play but missed a chance to knot the score by hitting 1-2 from the line.

       The Vancouver Buzz Bombs defeated the Edmonton KGs 64-48 as Terri McGovern scored 10. The KG’s were led by Ann Thompson’s 8 points.

       The Hamilton Athenas pounded the St. John Alpines 63-46 as Ann Hurley scored 17 and Pat Tatham 17.

       The Edmonton KGs defeated the Halifax Hyacks 48-33 as Lynda Ward scored 10 and Judy Fairbairn 10. The KGs (coached by Paul Kirk, manager Frank Sherburn) also included Sandy Evans. They qualified for nationals as hosts.

       Tourney MVP Pat Tatham scored 46 points in four games, including 20 against Halifax as Hamilton defeated the Halifax Hyacks 57-27. Lorna Greeley led the Hyacks with 8.
