In the final, the Whitehorse F.H. Collins Warriors dispatched the Whitehorse Vanier Crusaders 74-57 to capture their fourth consecutive title. The Warriors led 13-8, 37-26 and 58-36 at the quarters. Warriors coach Claire Abbott told the Yukon News that her troops stuck to their game plan. “I love how they started the game and I loved how they finished each quarter. (Each quarter) is kind of like a chapter and they closed it really well. There might have been stuff in the middle they could have improved on, but they showed in the next quarter that they cleaned it up.” Abbott told the Whitehorse Daily Star that “it was all in the mental preparation, what happens before the game. So the visualization piece and choosing the one thing to really put their mind to, to get them ready and amped up because that intensity needs to get to that next level.”
