In the final, the Whitehorse F.H. Collins Warriors smacked the White Porter Creek Rams 61-37. Grade 10 guard Jetta Bilsky told the Whitehorse Star that the Warriors win was strictly a function of hard work. “We were always in the gym,” she said. “We pushed each other to work hard and made each other better on the court.” Warriors coach Ann Jirousek said “this team believed in themselves. They were highly skilled and worked hard, but they also liked being together as a team.” Tournament MVP Jayden Demchuk paced the Warriors with 25, including 9 of her team’s first 11 points. Bilsky scored 18. Kennedy Cairns-Locke led the Rams with 15.
