In game one, Vancouver capitalized a 21-3 run in the fourth quarter to pull out a 60-38 win. The Eilers led 13-12 after one quarter 28-22 at the half and 39-35 after three quarters. The Eilers dominated the boards and hit layups off a ton of backdoor cuts. Nora McDermott led Vancouver with 17. Beryl Piper added 12, Noreen Stoddart 9, Bev Slater 7, Joan Mitchell 2, Rita Bell 2, McDonald 3, Milner 0, Louise McDermott 5 and Jackie Adank 7. Mary Barnett paced Toronto with 11.
