In the semis, the 11th-seeded Charlottetown Rural-2 Raiders dusted the 14th-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-2 Axettes 54-36 after leading 22-14 at the half. Caleigh Robertson paced the Raiders with 24. Jocelyn LaPorte added 18 and Marianne Ellis 8. Megan Allen paced the Axettes with 14. Sarah Palmer added 11 and Mikayla Gallant 4.
In the other semi, the 12th-seeded Kensington Intermediate-Senior Torchettes clipped the 13th-seeded Kinkora Regional Blazers 48-27 as Shalen Trask scored 15, Caroline Formigoni 10 and Mary Ann MacArthur 8. Kelsey Leard and Nadine Wood each notched 8 for the Blazers. Katelyn Kelly added 5.
In the bronze medal match, the 14th-seeded
Summerside Three Oaks-2 Axettes defeated the 13th-seeded Kinkora Blazers
54-41 after rallying from a 27-21 deficit at halftime. Mikayla Gallant scored
16 to pace Three Oaks. Sarah Palmer added 14 and Trisha Banks 5. Nadine Wood
led Kinkora with 10. Katelyn Kelly added 9 and Erika Murphy 8.
In the final, the 12th-seeded
Kensington Intermediate-Senior High Torchettes defeated the 11th-seeded
Charlottetown Rural-2 Raiders 63-51. The Raiders made a fight of it in the
second half. In the third-quarter they battled back from a 30-21 deficit at
halftime to temporarily knot the score at 32-32. But the Torchettes regained their
composure to reclaim the lead, which they never relinquished the rest of the
way. Kensington led 43-35 heading into the final quarter and outscored Rural
20-16 in the closing frame. Post Michelle Hickey paced the Torchettes with 15. Mary
MacArthur added 14, Justine Senechal 12 and Rachel Nunn 8. Caleigh Robertson
led the Raiders with 21. Jocelyn LaPorte added 17 and Taylor Coles 4.
