The Summerside Three Oaks Axettes defeated the Kensington Torchettes 61-37 as Alisha Laughlin scored 17 and Rebecca Walker 16. Alison Riley led Kensington with 12. Three Oaks led 27-21 at the half.
In the last quarterfinal, the Hampshire Bluefield Bobcats defeated the Morell Marlins 55-32 as Laura MacPherson scored 26. Hampshire Bluefield led 30-9 at the half. Amy Douglas paced Morell with 8. The Marlins also included Lori MacFarlane, Lindy Affleck, Jennifer Plamer, Kerri MacLaren, Jennifer Gill, Erin Hughes, Sarah Hogan, Angel Laybolt, Mandy Runighan, Chelsea Adams, Emily Curran and Alexia Meade.
In the semis, the top-seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray Colonels defeated the Hampshire Bluefield Bobcats 52-38 as Katherine Walters and Megan MacMillan dominated the paint, while Joanne Ghiz and Elizabeth MacPhail gave the Bobcats fits in the backcourt. McPhail had 9 points and 3 steals in the second half. Walters finished with 16 points and 11 boards. MacMillan scored 8 and nabbed 6 boards. Ghiz and M.C. Connolly each scored 7. Laura MacPherson led Hampshire Bluefield with 12 points and 13 boards. Katie Andrews scored 7 and Megan MacLean 11.
In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Charlottetown Rural Raiders defeated the 3rd-seeded Summerside Three Oaks Axettes 54-42 as Lindsay Coade scored 11 and grabbed 19 boards. Amanda Hood added 15, while nabbing 11 boards. Tara Shea scored 16 and grabbed 8 boards. The Raiders ripped off a 23-0 run midway through the first half to take command. Rural led 34-20 at the half. Kristen Turtle paced Three Oaks with 16, along with 8 boards. Rebecca Walker added 9, along with 7 boards, while Alisha Laughlan scored 10 and grabbed 4 boards. Rural led 34-20 at the half.
In the bronze medal match, the Summerside Three Oaks Axettes defeated the Hampshire Bluefield Bobcats 52-41. Katherine Olscamp hit a pair of critical buckets to stifle Bobcat rallies in the second half. Kristen Turtle led the Axewomen with 14 points and 12 boards. Alisha Laughlin added 16 points and 4 steals. The Axettes led 28-26 at the half. Rebecca Walker paced the Bobcats with 10 points, 10 boards and 2 steals. Laura MacPherson added 14 points and 9 boards. Katie Andrews scored 11, nabbed 7 boards and pilfered 3 balls. Megan MacLean scored 8.
In the final, the top seeded Charlottetown Colonel Gray Colonels crushed the 2nd-seeded Charlottetown Rural Raiders 60-41. A 17-0 run, including eight by Katherine Walters rallied the Colonels past the Raiders. Walters finished with 18 points. M.C. Connolly added 8, Megan MacMillan 7, Joanne Ghiz 7, Kyla McGuigan 7 and Elizabeth MacPhail 9. Lindsay Coade led the Raiders with 8 points and 9 boards. Jayne MacKay scored 9, Amanda Hood 5 and Tara Shea 5. Rural led at the half 22-21.
