West End Y broke for six unanswered points in the second quarter, included two free throws apiece by Bobby Rosenfeld and Shirley Maldaver and the game’s first field goal, a Rosenfeld layup off a tip from a jump ball. Annie Miller added a pair of buckets as West End extended its lead to 10 after three quarters. Coach Branston inserted Alex Gibb for the Ladies in the final quarter and she ignited a spark. Grace Conacher hit a pair of free throws. Athol Wesley hit buckets from the corner and added a free throw as the Ladies cut the lead to three.
