In the quarterfinals, the 2nd-seeded Souris Spartans defeated the Charlottetown Rural Raiders 60-40 as Jonathan Lawlor scored 22. Kris Kamphuis paced Rural with 11. Souris led 37-27 at the half. The Raiders also included Kelsey Avery.

        The Montague Vikings defeated the Grace Christian Knights 52-49 as Nolan Bryand scored 19. Derek Schipper and Jonathan Barrett each scored 19 for Grace Christian.

        The Summerside Three Oaks Axemen whipped the Kinkora Blazers 117-29 as Joel Bryce scored 15, Greg LeClerc 14 and Mike Galliner 14. Rodney Gaudet paced Kinkora with 9. Michael Murphy added 8 and Evonne MacLean 7.

In the last quarterfinal, the Charlottetown Colonel Gray Colonels crushed the Morell Marlins 94-68 as Andrew Dunning scored 30, Mike Gauthier 21 and Matt Wilkins 20. Adam Jay led Morell with 25. Tim MacDonald added 16. Colonel Gray led 50-30 at the half. The Marlins also included Adam Arsenault, Mark Jackson, Sandy McGrath, Craig Gallant, Brian Burrows, Mark Scotto, Scott MacDonald, Tim MacDonald, Logan MacInnis and Justin Cobb.

        In the semis, the Souris Spartans defeated the Charlottetown Colonel Gray Colonels 56-44 as 6-7 Jason MacDonald scored 23, grabbed 12 boards, blocked 2 shots and stole 2 balls, while point guard Terence Dunphy did a masterful job of dictating play. Johnathan Lawlor scored 15 and nabbed 7 boards. Ryan McIssac scored 8 and Peter MacDonald 6. Mike Gauthier led Colonel Gray with 11 points and 14 boards. Andrew Dunning scored 17 and Matt Wilkins 10.

In the other semi, Summerside Three Oaks defeated the Montague Vikings 70-31 as Adam Perry scored 15 and nabbed 7 boards. Adam Cheverie added 16 points and 4 boards, Andrew Laughlin 12, Joel Bryce 12 and Craig Perry 8. The Axemen ripped off an early 16-0 run to take command. Dylan Bergmark led Montague with 11 points and 13 boards. Nolan Bryand scored 6 and Thor Christensen 7.

In the bronze medal match, the Charlottetown Colonel Gray Colonels dumped the Montague Vikings 74-47 as Mike Gauthier scored 10 and grabbed 10 boards. Matt Wilkins notched 18, including four from beyond the arc. Joe LeBlanc scored 10 and grabbed 8 boards. Andrew Dunning scored 9 and Mike MacInnis 7, while grabbing 6 boards. Rob Wilson scored 7 and Brett Richardson 6. Thor Christensen led Montague with 10 points and 10 boards. Nolan Bryand scored 9 and Dylan Bergmark 11, while nabbing 10 boards. Chris Gillis scored 8.

In the final, the Souris Spartans defeated the Summerside Three Oaks Axemen 72-62. Tournament MVP Jonathan Lawlor caught fire and Jason MacDonald took command of the boards to hand top-seeded Three Oaks its first loss of the season. Lawlor finished with 33 points and 11 boards. MacDonald grabbed 21 rebounds, while scoring 15 and blocking 4 shots. Ryan MacIsaac added 16. The game featured seven lead changes in the second half. The teams were tied with 12 minutes to play. Souris led 61-55 with four minutes to go. Joel Bryce cut the margin to 62-57 but Lawlor and MacDonald were 7-9 from the line down the stretch. Three Oaks led 30-29 at the half. Adam Perry led Three Oaks with 21. Adam Cheverie added 12 and Andrew Laughlin 10. Axemen coach Jason Gallant told the Charlottetown Guardian that “it’s hard to lose on the last day, especially when a championship is on the line. … Jonathan Lawlor really played amazing today for them. Souris got the momentum late in the game and it was hard to take it back from them. … We went a couple of stretches in both the first half and the second half where we just couldn’t score — we had lots of opportunities, but we just couldn’t make the ball go in the basket.”
