In the final, the 6th-seeded Souris Spartans defeated the 8th-seeded Elmsdale Westisle Wolverines 73-59. Elmsdale Westisle led throughout the first quarter, but Souris took command in the second quarter to build a 40-26 at the half. “We missed half the season due to storms and I feel bad for our Grade 12s,” said Elmsdale Westisle coach Walter Davison. “But then we played seven games in seven days and we started to find our rhythm a little bit.” Davison said the key to the game for the Wolverines was to stop Souris guards Thomas Fisher and Logan Sauve. But the two Grade 12s were on fire as tournament MVP Logan Sauve responded with a game-high 28 points and Fisher had 24. Brandon Campbell notched 17. Elmsdale Westisle, which struggled with some close-in shots, attempted to close the gap by outscoring Souris 21-18 in the third quarter. The Wolverines received strong games from Dallas Ellsworth, who finished with 23 points, while Matt Gough added 12 and Cody Gallant was credited with 11. Brent Murphy added 5.
