In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Summerside Three Oaks-1 Axemen defeated the 3rd-seeded Hampshire Bluefield-2 Bobcats 57-51. The Bobcats clawed to within three with four minutes to play but Will Brawn nailed a pair of treys to seal the win for the Axemen. “Will showed a lot of confidence to try those three pointers when he’s only a Grade 10 student,” said Three Oaks coach Faro Halupa. Hampshire Bluefield broke to an early 17-12 lead but Three Oaks responded with a 15-4 run to take command. “Our defence and rebounding was the key,” said Halupa. Will Brawn and Mike Hardy each scored 16 to lead three oaks. “I wasn’t happy with my shooting and I was surprised I scored that many,” said Hardy. Jason McLean paced the Bobcats with 20. Jason McAlduff added 11 and Logan Dawson 8. The Bobcats (coached by Darryl Boudrea, assisted by Jimmy Morris) also included Mitchell Woodside, Andrew Woodside, Telsyn Doucette, Steven Murphy, Mitchell MacKinnon, Ryan Luttrell and Lucas Chandler.

In the final,
the top-seeded Charlottetown Rural-1 Raiders defeated the 2nd-seeded
Summerside Three Oaks-1 Axemen 64-51. Nathan Palmer paced the Raiders with 14.
Tournament MVP Aaron Robbins added 12 and Evan Barwise 11. Mike Hardy led Three
Oaks with 18. Sean Bradley added 12 and Will Brawn 11. Axemen head coach Faro
Halupa said the game plan was to be strong defensively and on the boards. In a
low-scoring first half, Three Oaks held the momentum until Rural went on a 9-0
run and took a 28-23 lead into halftime. Both teams struggled at the offensive
end in front of a large crowd. Rural started to control the boards and when
Three Oaks fell behind by 10 points in the third quarter, Halupa called a timeout.
The moved paid off as Axemen surged to pull within three points. But with seven
minutes remaining and the clock becoming the Axemen’s enemy, Rural hit a three
and followed that up with a couple of free-throws to widen its lead.
