In the quarterfinals, held at Dalbrae Academy in Southwest Mabou, the top-seeded Weymouth St. Mary’s Bay Academy Stingrays crushed the 8th-seeded New Germany Saints 106-62 as Patrick Johns scored 28 and Jordan Cromwell 27. Colet Leary led the Saints with 19. “It was good to get that first game out of the way,” said Stingrays coach Craig Glavin.

In the semis, the top-seeded Weymouth St. Mary’s Bay Academy Stingrays whacked the East Antigonish Mustangs 79-51 as John Ward scored 24 and Patrick Johns 23. Pat Brouwer led the Mustangs with 21. Stingrays coach Craig Glavin said the win was a team effort and was pleased with play from the bench.
In the other semi, the Kennetcook Hants North Rural Flames defeated the Shelburne Rebels 64-59

In the final, the top-seeded Weymouth St. Mary’s Bay Academy Stingrays whipped the Kennetcook Hants North Rural Flames 67-54 to defend their provincial title. Patrick Johns paced the Stingrays with 20. Jordan Cromwell added 16 and John Ward 15. Kolby Turtle led the Flames with 17. SMBA coach Craig Glavin said the game was close, with both teams trading baskets and neither able to pull clear ahead. “It was a six-point game in our favour with three minutes to play and the boys dug in with a couple of threes to pull ahead down the stretch. The team played well and it was an exciting way to finish off the season, especially with it being back-to-back championships.”
