The old A, B & C tournaments are replaced with three new classifications. R for regional and L and M for Large and Medium schools.
In the quarterfinals, the Rothesay Regional Red Hawks dispatched the Petitcodiac Regional Panthers 29-23 as Evans scored 10, Masson 9, Flood 6 and McGuire 4. Gillmore led the Panthers with 10. Hamilton added 7, Lounsbury 5 and Ogilvie 4, while Burns, S Drew, Richardson, M Coates, E Coates, Perry and M Drew were scoreless.
In the other quarterfinal, the Salisbury Sabres defeated St. George Eastern Charlotte 24-19 as Mesheau scored 16, G Geldart 5, Cochrane 2 and R Geldart 1. B Neilson paced Eastern Charlotte with 6. J Hawkins added 3 and J Armstrong 2, while eight points were unallocated. Eastern Charlotte also included M Brown, S Brown, E Stewart, M Jackson, A Southard, E Bradford, J Clark, V Hanselpacker and C Jackson.
In the semis, the Rothesay Regional Red Hawks nipped the Salisbury Sabres 23-21 as Evans scored 6, Flood 6, Allison 4, Masson 2, Keating 2 and McGuire 1. Meschau led the Sabrs with 7. G Geldart added 7, Dobson (Dodson?) 5 and Cochrane 2.
In the other semi, the Minto Memorial Tigers spanked the Centreville Cougars 29-14 as Barton scored 8, LeBlanc 8, Russell 5, MacFarlane 4, Bostick 2 and Boyd 2. Perry scored all 14 for the Cougars
In the final, the Minto Memorial Tigers defeated the Rothesay Regional Red Hawks 29-21 after leading 8-4, 14-8 and 18-12 at the quarters. Bostick paced the Tigers with 11. Barton added 10. McGuire led the Red Hawks with 7. Flood added 5 and Evans 5.

In the quarterfinals, the Salisbury Regional Sabres dusted the Centreville Cougars 44-23 as Mitton scored 16, Colpitts 10, J Cochrane 10, Lewis 3, A Geldart 3 and G Geldart 2. The Sabres led 16-6, 23-12 and 37-21 at the quarters. Phyllis Jones scored 11 to pace the Cougars (coach Ruth Bacchus, manager Geraldine Ball). Ruth Glenn added 7 and Joan McCartney 5, while Pearl Watson, Gertrude Glenn, Shirley Sprague, Barbara Douglas, Yvonne McConnell, Shirley MacDonald, Judy lee, Mavis Hamblin and Shirley Brown were scoreless.
In the other quarterfinal, the Boiestown Upper Miramichi Boas edged the Rothesay Regional Red Hawks 15-13 as Scott scored 7, Swazey 4, Evans 2 and Cleveland 2. The Red Hawks led 5-4 after one quarter. The Boas led 11-10 at the half and 14-10 after three quarters. Campbell led the Red Hawks with 6. Shannon added 4 and Joanne Allison 3, while McCabe, Scott, Cowan, Keating, Mullett, Blair, Koval, Robinson and Mitchell were scoreless.
In the semis, the Boiestown Upper Miramichi Boas dispatched the Salisbury Regional Sabrees 14-11 as Scott scored 5, Swazey 4, Evans 3, Cleveland 1 and McManus 1. The score was knotted at 2 after one quarter. The Boas led 7-5 at the half and 10-9 after three quarters. Mitton led the Sabres with 3. J Cochrane added 3, Colpitts 2, G Geldart 2 and A Geldart 1.
In the other semi, the Minto Regional Tigers torched St. George Eastern Charlotte 33-9 after leading 8-6, 198 and 26-8 at the quarters. Gardiner led the Tigers with 8. In the final, the Minto Regional Tigers the Boiestown Upper Miramichi Regional Boas 38-18 after leading 5-2, 20-9 and 30-14 at the quarters. Bostick paced the Tigers with 17. Barton added 12, LeBlanc 5, Boyd 2 and Gardner 2. Swazey led the Boas with 13. Evans added 2, Scott 2 and Munn 1.
