In the quarterfinals, the Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders defeated the Riverview Royals x-x. The Royals included Dan White.

The Fredericton Black Kats defeated the Bathurst Phantoms x-x.

The Moncton Purple Knights defeated the Saint John St. Malachy’s Saints x-x. The Saints (coached by Tom King) included Matt Bentley, Craig Scholten, Dan Marr, Tom Anderson, Chris Bates, Ben Gibbs, Josh Logan, Matt Penney, Scott Van Wart, Colin Furness, Ryan Graham.

In the last quarterfinal, the Oromocto Blues defeated Moncton Harrison Trimble Trojans x-x. The Trojans included Ryan Richard, Neil Black.

In the semis (and regional finals), the Fredericton Black Kats crushed the Quispamsis Kennebecasis Valley Crusaders 78-41.

In the other semi (and regional final), the Oromocto Blues surprised the Moncton Purple Knights 67-54.

        In the final, the Fredericton Black Kats defeated the Oromocto Blues 86-50 to capture their fourth crown in five years. The Black Kats opened with a 7-0 run and soon extended their lead to 14. Fredericton led 36-17 at the half and held Oromocto to a .133 from the floor. “We moved hard and everyone had their hands up on every shot,” game MVP Tom Spink, a 6-2 senior who scored 16 and nabbed 9 boards, told the New Brunswick Telegraph-Journal. “We didn’t give them any freebies. … We are kind of a low-key team. We didn’t celebrate any of our victories all year. We were waiting for this one.” Fredericton captured its fourth title in five years and equaled their back-to-back runs of 1989-90 and 1994-95 in the process. Andy Cotter paced the Kats with 21 on 5-7 from the arc. Joe Thompson added 14. Mike Mercer led the Blues, making their first appearance in the Final 12, with 22. Ross Corbett added 11. Fredericton ended the year with a (37-1) record. “We are kind of a low-key team,” said Spink. “We didn’t celebrate any of our victories all year. We were waiting for this one.” Oromocto’s Mike Mercer said that “we gave it our all, but the better team won. That’s all I can say.” Oromocto finished (40-6) on the season.
