Faith Petterson led the Tigers with 10. “It was defence that won it,” Spartans coach Harry Crossin told the Brandon Sun. “The offence took care of itself.” Neelin led 31-16 at the half.
In the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Winkler Garden Valley Zodiacs clocked the 8th-seeded Winnipeg Elmwood Giants 79-42.
The 4th-seeded St. Norbert Celtics edged the 5th-seeded Thompson R.D. Parker Trojans 56-52.
The 2nd-seeded Brandon T.A. Neelin Spartans smacked the 7th-seeded Winnipeg College Beliveau Barracudas 68-37.
In the other quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Winnipeg St. John’s Ravenscourt Eagles whipped the 6th-seeded Swan River Swan Valley Tigers 59-35. Faith Petterson paced the Tigers with 12 points and 10 boards. Tigers player of the game Denise Slepicka added 11. The Tigers (coached by Ronn Vestby, manager Sarah McGimpsey) also included Jill Hunter, Faith Petterson, Denise Slepicka, Sabrina Mohr, Kristin Matieka, Kristin Poole.

In the other semi, the Winnipeg St. John’s Ravenscourt Eagles defeated the Brandon T.A. Neelin Spartans 59-52.
In the bronze medal match, the Brandon T.A. Neelin Spartans nipped the Winkler Garden Valley Zodiacs 50-47 as Marrla Evans scored 15 and Emmy McGuinness 13.
In the final, the St. Norbert Celtics defeated the Winnipeg St. John’s Ravenscourt Eagles 48-44.
