In the quarterfinals, the 7th-seeded Hamiota Huskies edged the 2nd-seeded Winnipeg Westwood Warriors 32-31 as Lynda Kidd scored 23, Barb Whyte 4, Maureen Baillie 2 and Barb McLaren 2. Westwood led 7-6 early but the Huskies rallied to a 17-12 lead at the half and led 34-16 after three quarters. The Warriors included Linda Timmons, Joan Spencer.

        The Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions defeated the Winnipeg Daniel McIntyre Maroons 53-23. The Maroons (coached by Miss N Wirth) included Ruth Richter, Heather Robinson, Velma Cooper, Janice Hanman, Sally Watson, Vicky Graceffo, Sandra Woods, Sandra Jones, Johanna Froese, Melba Eliasson and Karen McLeod.

        The Brandon Vincent Massey Vikings dusted the Winnipeg Miles Macdonell Buckeyes 50-25 as Judy Chapman scored 21, Vaila Hoggan 11 and Georgia Hooke 8. The Buckeyes included Audrey Bedelko, Karen Prevailnig, Norma Verhagen.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Winnipeg West Kildonan Wolverines crushed the Winnipeg Kelvin Clippers 85-15. The Clippers (coached by C.L. Kerr) included Cheryl Greene, Mary Campbell, Janis Baldwin, Susan Gauer, Lynn Ross, Kathy Broderick, Shirley Caldwell, Dawn Campbell, Sally Stevenson, Elsa Doern, Jennifer Haig, Susan Cox and Pat Preston.

        In the semis, the 7th-seeded Hamiota Huskies stomped the Winnipeg West Kildonan Wolverines 51-20 as Lynda Kidd scored 29, Barb Whyte 7, Carol Brooks 6, Judy Richardson 3 and Janice English 3. The Huskies led 22-8 at the half. Despite the blowout win, Huskies coach Reverend Ralph Clark told the Brandon Sun that his troops “can play a lot better than that.” Wanda Spitzer paced the Wolverines with 8. Maureen Tees added 7.

        In the other semi, the Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions dumped the Brandon Vincent Massey Vikings 37-25 as Nancy Pocock scored 18 and Cecilia Cooper 10. The Lions led 11-4, 21-7 and 29-19 at the quarters. Judy Chapman paced the Vikings with 8. Bev Kearns added 6, Georgia Hooke 5 and Vailla Hoggan 4.

        In the final, the 7th-seeded Hamiota Huskies avenged a loss in the 1962 title match by clipping the Winnipeg Glenlawn Lions 40-21 as Lynda Kidd scored 25, Maureen Baillie 4 and Barb McLaren 4. Hamiota led 7-2, 22-10 and 29-18 at the quarters. Glenlawn was paced by Nancy Pocock’s 11 points. Bev Sawchuk added 4. Hamiota coach Reverend Ralph Clark told the Brandon Sun that “it was a 100% team effort. I’m proud of them. They played better than they have ever played in their lives. And to think those [Winnipeg] coaches never gave us a chance.”
