In the quarterfinals, held in Rossburn, the 4th-seeded Lac Du Bonnet Chargers clubbed the 5th-seeded Rossburn Raiders 107-89. The Chargers led 54-40 at the half. Chargers coach Wayne Short wrote in the Lac du Bonnet Leader that depth proved the difference. Darren Sarapu led the Chargers with 35. Shawn Wassing added 26 while dominating the boards on both ends of the floor. The Raiders included Derek Lepischak, David Romeril.

        The top-seeded Dauphin Western Christian Mustangs stomped the 8th-seeded Nelson House Otetiskewin Warriors 84-46 as Chris Reddekopp scored 27, Kris Roberts 18, Paul Laliberte 14 and Randy Foss 14.

        The 2nd-seeded St. Laurent Hawks dumped the 7th-seeded Rivers Rams 67-59.

        In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Rosenort Red Hawks clipped the 6th-seeded wildcard Sprague Ross L. Gray Raiders 80-58. The Raiders (coached by John Bukich) included Travis Pederson, Daryl Pederson.

In the semis, the 4th-seeded Lac du Bonnet Chargers edged the top-seeded Dauphin Western Christian Mustangs 72-68. Paul Laliberte and Randy Foss each hit 14 for the Mustangs. The Chargers led 38-36 at the half. Darren Sarapu led the Chargers with 23. Shawn Wassing added 13 and Sean Reynolds 10.

        In the other semi, the 3rd-seeded Rosenort Red Hawks whipped the 2nd-seeded St. Laurent Hawks 91-66.

In the bronze medal match, the top-seeded Dauphin Western Christian Mustangs dumped the 2nd-seeded St. Laurent Hawks 83-71 as Chris Reddekopp scored 28 and nabbed 14 boards. Kris Roberts and Randy Foss each added 15, while Paul Laliberte scored 12. Roberts also nabbed 15 boards.

        In the final, the 4th-seeded Lac du Bonnet Chargers prevailed 58-51 over the 3rd-seeded Rosenort Red Hawks, while avenging their sole loss of the season, during a midseason tournament. Chargers coach Wayne Short wrote in the Lac du Bonnet Leader that his troops were “focused and was determined to settle for nothing less than gold. The entire season the team practiced and played with one objective in mind, to win the provincials! The team had to have heart, desire and composure under pressure. They knew teamwork was going to be the key to winning, and win they did!” The Chargers led 31-25 at the half on a Sean Reynolds trey with three seconds remaining on the clock. Reynolds paced the Chargers with 15. Dwight Hirst added 15 and Shawn Wassing 13. Redhawks coach Larry Eidse told the Steinbach Carillon that his troops “exemplified an excellent attitude throughout the season and in the provincials. It was a team effort all the way.”
