In the wildcard game, the Winkler Garden Valley Zodiacs edged the Dauphin Clippers 75-70. The Clippers (coached by Dave Bosiak, assisted by Greg Acevedo) included Bryan Antoshko, Chris Savin, Greg Letain, Pat Nakoneshny, Scott McColm.

        In the quarterfinals, held in Steinbach, the 6th-seeded host Sabres clipped the 3rd-seeded Winkler Garden Valley Zodiacs 65-59. The score was knotted at 22 at the half. Todd Peters and Harlan Enns each scored 17 for the Sabres. Phouba Pathammavong added 14. Ray Derksen led the Zodiacs with 22. The Zodiacs also included Kevin Janzen.

        The top-seeded Portage Regional Trotters clocked the 8th-seeded Flin Flon Kopper Kings 75-41.

        The Virden Golden Bears dumped the Beausejour Edward Schreyer Barons 87-63. The Barons included Allan Gibson, Andy Stantic.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Swan River Swan Valley Tigers whipped the Gimli Lakers 76-55. The Lakers (coached by Dan Sharples) included Rob Kmet, Kevin Affleck, Steven Forbes, Danny Kowcun.

        In the semis, the 6th-seeded Steinbach Sabres dumped the 2nd-seeded Swan River Swan Valley Tigers 55-50. The Sabres broke to a 14-0 lead but the Tigers rallied within one before Harlan Enns took control in the final quarter, scoring 12 in the frame. Tigers coach Duane Whyte that “we caught up but just couldn’t put them away.”

        In the other semi, the Portage Trotters stomped the Virden Golden Bears 72-45.

        In the bronze medal match, the Swan River Swan Valley Tigers edged the Virden Golden Bears 73-70. The Golden Bears included Sean Dawson.

In the final, the top-seeded Portage Regional Trotters defeated the 6th-seeded Steinbach Regional Sabres 57-40. The Sabres were within 38-34 after three quarters as Phouba Pathammavong scored 17 of his 21 points. But the Trotters took command in the final frame as their pressure defence began to yield dividends.
