In the wildcard opening round, the Virden Golden Bears edged the Portage la Prairie Arthur Meighen Squires 72-69.

        In the quarterfinals, the top-seeded Winkler Garden Valley Zodiacs clubbed the 8th-seeded Winnipeg Windsor Park Royals 86-68.

        The 4th-seeded Dauphin Clippers defeated the 5th-seeded University of Winnipeg Collegiate Wesmen 63-54.

        The 6th-seeded Virden Golden Bears stunned the 3rd-seeded St. Norbert Celtics 78-69.

        In the last quarterfinal, the 2nd-seeded Winnipeg St. John’s Ravenscourt Eagles clipped the 7th-seeded Thompson R.D. Parker Trojans 46-37.

        In the semis, the top-seeded Winkler Garden Valley Zodiacs dusted the 4th-seeded Dauphin Clippers 80-67.

        In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Winnipeg St. Johns Ravenscourt Eagles defeated the 6th-seeded Virden Golden Bears 92-69.

        In the bronze medal match, the 4th-seeded Dauphin Clippers dusted the 6th-seeded Virden Golden Bears 78-54 as Jay McDougall scored 19. “Third place is something to be proud of, especially since we improved on our ranking,” Clippers coach Cam Bennett told the Dauphin Herald. “The guys are already talking about how well we should do next year.” The Golden Bears included Kris Sundell, Graham Erickson, Brian Wark, Craig McCauley, Graham Erickson.

In the final, the Winnipeg St. John’s Ravenscourt Eagles edged the Winkler Garden Valley Zodiacs 61-55. “We couldn’t put the ball in the hole to save our lives tonight,” Garden Valley coach John Klassen told the Winnipeg Free Press. “We usually have a great third quarter but that didn’t happen tonight. You have to give St. John’s credit though, they seemed to want it more than us.” St. John’s coach Henry Verbeek said defence was key. “Yeah they missed a lot of shots. But I think it was our aggressive defence that caused that to happen.”
