In the quarterfinals, held in Mill Bay, the 5th-seeded Keremeos Similkameen Sparks defeated the 4th-seeded host Mill Bay Brentwood College 46-28. Brentwood (coached by Clyde Ogilvie) included Amanda Senftleben, Danielle Bourbonnais, Danielle McDermott, Sarah Storey, Krista Marsh, Lynn Ashton, Philippa George, Karina Wickland, Cerah Richardson, Aoibhinn Grimes, Thea Burrows, Crystal Harvey and Rosanna Watson.
The top-seeded North Vancouver St. Thomas Aquinas Fighting Saints dusted the New Aiyansh Nisga’a Chieftains 55-31. The Chieftains (coached by Barb Stedham) included Sharlena Clayton, Laverne Stewart, Nora Guno, Yvonne Campbell, Karla Stedham, Val Dyer, Vanessa McKay, Priscilla Nisyok, Karen Clayton, Lena Griffin, Sheri Woods, Leslie Robinson, Cheryl Woods and Ronda Evans.
The 2nd-seeded Salmo Falcons pounded the Chemainus Cougars 66-35.
In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Agassiz Eagles spanked the 6th-seeded Fort St. James Falcons 48-31 (also reported as 54-31). The Falcons (coached by Sheila Collins, assisted by Lisa Button) included Corinne Hawkes, Grace Lutkehaus, Geraldine Paques, Connie Besset. Collins told the Caledonia Courier that “it was very close until halftime and then they broke away. We all got very tired.”
In the semis, the 2nd-seeded Salmo Falcons defeated the Agassiz Eagles x-x after withstanding a furious rally.
In the other semi, the Keremeos Similkameen Sparks defeated the top-seeded North Vancouver St. Thomas Aquinas Fighting Saints 62-60.
In the bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded Agassiz Eagles edged the top-seeded North Vancouver St. Thomas Aquinas Fighting Saints 36-32.
In the final, the 5th-seeded Keremeos Similkameen Sparks defeated the 2nd-seeded Salmo Falcons 67-61 in the final. Sim High trailed by four at the half.
