Alex Coote dominated the floor. “He’s our leader,” Wolves coach Bob Dodds told the Vancouver Province. “It’s our third time in the final and our first time winning it, and it has been a long time coming. But this year, we had a special player in his Grade 12 year in Alex Coote.” The senior knocked down three treys in the second half and then nailed a fadeaway jumper to bury the dagger in the Celtics. “It’s something we have been working towards for the last five years,” said Coote.
