In the quarterfinals, held in Kamloops, the Grand Forks Wolves whipped the Vanderhoof Nechako Valley Vikings 58-26 as Brian Strukoff scored 16 and Ed Kinakin 16. Blake McFetridge led the Vikings with 10.         The Westbank George Pringle Pacers edged the Invermere David Thompson Lakers 64-63 in overtime as Tom Raffner scored 18. Tim Traverse led the Lakers with 17. The score was knotted at 62 after regulation.

        The Hope Mustangs whipped the Hazelton Spartans 84-41 as Mike Ferguson scored 19, Steve Ferguson 14, Neil McPhedran 14, Dan Kelley 9, Andy Schonberger 6, Ken Graham 5, Bill Kemash 5, Keith Rudance 4, Marc Haslam 4, Dave Greer 2 and Cye Blackhall 2. The Mustangs led 46-17 at the half and 66-29 after three quarters. Francis Woods led the Spartans with 12. The Spartans also included Jeff Wilson, Norman Larson, Harry Simpson.

        In the last quarterfinal, the Chase Trojans clipped the Shawinigan Lake Stags 58-51 as Fred Torbaum scored 19. Pete Noble led the Stags with 12. The Stags (coached by Ron Hudspith) also included Henri Alvarez, Mike Hess, Harold Hayes, Al Manson, Edwin Yiu, Jeff Winslow, Pat Wong.

In the semis, the Grand Forks Wolves dispatched the Chase Trojans 51-36.

In the other semi, the Hope Mustangs clocked the Westbank George Pringle Pacers 75-36 as Ken Graham scored 22, Steve Ferguson 15, Mike Ferguson 9, Neil McPhedran 9, Ed Graham 8, Andy Schonberger 4, Bill Kemash 3, Dave Greer 2, Cye Blackhall 2 and Dan Kelley 1. The Mustangs led 20-13 after one quarter and 44-17 at the half.

In the bronze medal match, the Westbank George Pringle Pacers clipped the Chase Trojans 51-40 as Tom Raffner scored 22. The Trojans included Rob Shelest, Fred Torbaum.

In the final, the Hope Mustangs dusted the Grand Forks Wolves 51-40 to deny them a third consecutive crown. The Mustangs led 25-20 at the half. Mike Fergson paced the Mustangs with 18.
