In the semis, the Walkerton Sacred Heart Crusaders clipped the Chatham Collegiate Panthers 47-37 as Sarah Kieffer scored 21 and Lori Kraemer 13. The Crusaders led 24-22 at the half. Jill Wilcox led the Panthers with 16. Tara Smith added 10.
In the other semi, the Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders nipped the St. Thomas St. Joseph’s Rams 36-32 as Katie Bottineau scored 11. Cindy Neale led the Rams with 16.

In the final, the Walkerton Sacred Heart Crusaders defeated the Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders 53-17 as Sarah Kieffer scored 19, Lori Kraemer 14, Paula Rich 9, Carla Biesenthal 6, Heidi Borho 4, Carrie Zettel 2 and Christine McLaughlin 2. The Crusaders led 12-0, 30-7 and 40-12 at the quarters. Crusaders coach Bill King told the Owen Sound Sun Times that “you might say it was an old-fashioned butt-kicking. I said before the whole thing, I’d be very disappointed if we didn’t win the championship this year and the girls certainly didn’t let me down. Before the final game, I simply told the girls if they went out and worked hard,the game would be over in the first quarter. Jeanne McAlpine led the Marauders with 5.
