       The 5th-seeded Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders defeated the Kitchener Rockway Mennonite Flames 55-46 as Mark Neilson scored 28. Lucas Snider led the Flames with 13. Dave Lobe added 9 and Mike Shantz 8. The Flames (coach Roger Stover) also included Jon Cressman, Jeremy DeBoer, Tyson Schlegel. Stover told the Kitchener-Waterloo Record that “we were down by seven going into the last quarter but managed to get the game tied. However, we didn’t seem to have the same intensity in the night game that we did in the morning game and couldn’t keep it close.”

       In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Gananoque Trojans crushed the 6th-seeded New Liskeard École Secondaire Catholique Saint-Marie Apollo 82-62 as Dan Campbell scored 22. Justin Lomirand led the Apollo with 20. The Apollo also included Auguste Gravel, Alain Hacquard, Alain Joyal.

       In the semis, the Thorold Monsignor Clancy Crusaders defeated the 3rd-seeded Gananocque Trojans 81-64 in overtime as Ryan Serravalle scored 26. Matt Fleming and Cory Running each scored 17 to pace the Trojans.

       In the other semi, the St. Thomas St. Joseph’s Rams defeated the Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders 59-45 as Chedo Ndur scored 17. Mark Neilson paced the Marauders with 14.

       In the bronze medal match, the Parkhill North Middlesex Marauders defeated the Gananoque Trojans 101-91 as Mark Neilson scored 26. John Hedden paced Gananocque with 22. Matt Fleming and Cory Running each added 17. The Trojans also included Dan Campbell, Vanwinckle, Mike Hanna.

In the final, the Thorold Monsignor Clancy Crusaders defeated the top-seeded St. Thomas St. Joseph’s Rams 48-46 as Ryan Serravalle scored 23, Frank Aceti 14, Graham Bailey 6, Dave Patterson 3 and Richie Ethier 2. The Rams led 14-12 after one quarter. The Crusaders led 28-19 at the half and 35-30 after three quarters. The Rams rallied to within 47-46 with 25 seconds to play. Serravalle hit a free throws with 2.5 seconds to play and the Rams were unable to get off a final shot. Serravalle told the St. Catherines Standard that “my two older brothers both won (soccer OFSAA) bronze medals and I put them in my room and every time I woke up, I always looked at them and pictured myself winning a gold medal … It’s going right on my light and it’s going to hang high. … All I could think was all the hard days I put in at the gym and how there were times when people told me to relax but I just gave it that extra. I knew this would be special for our senior players and I wanted to do something for them.” Crusaders coach Jeff MacDonald said “we played four provincial gold medalists this year. We prepared for this situation today. Everybody worked together for this. … The ebb and flow of the game, there is never going to be perfection at all times. If you continue to plug, good things will happened through hard work.” Crusaders assistant Frank Capretta told the Hamilton Spectator that “this is a huge win. … (It will) put Clancy on the map. … There’s no better way to build tradition than to win a championship (for a 5-year-old school).” Jeremy Sutton led the Rams with 11.
