       The 2nd-seeded St. Thomas St. Joseph’s Rams crushed the 7th-seeded Ridgeway Crystal Beach Blue Devils 64-44. The Blue Devils (coach Jim Stephenson) included Pat Quackenbush, Dan Scholtens, Chris Bushell, Harry Althorpe, Cory Spada, Jason Pellow, Sean Hannaway and Scott Hannaway.

       In the last quarterfinal, the 3rd-seeded Hamilton Hillfield/Strathallan Trojans clubbed the Mitchell District Blue Devils 54-29 as Kaine Baldassi scored 22 and David DeFreitas 14.

       In the semis, the 2nd-seeded St. Thomas St. Joseph’s Rams whipped the 3rd-seeded Hamilton Hillfield-Strathallan Trojans 63-44. The Trojans led 11-3 early before the wheels fell off. Chris Conant paced the Trojans with 12. Kaine Baldassi added 12 and Miles Baldassi 10. Trojans coach Rob Reiner told the Hamilton Spectator that “we started very, very well and we’re usually a slow starting team. They hit 7 three-pointers on us, six in the first half and that hurt. We also turned the ball over to them three or four times in a row.”

       In the other semi, the top-seeded Gravenhurst Gryphons stomped the 5th-seeded Gananocque Trojans 73-45 as Mike Janke scored 24. Dave Campbell led the Trojans with 15.

       In the bronze medal match, the 3rd-seeded Hamilton Hillfield/Strathallan Trojans clipped the 5th-seeded Gananocque Trojans 70-57 as David Defrietas scored 20 (also reported as 18). Chris Conant added 14 and Kaine Baldassi 14. Trojans coach Rob Reiner told the Hamilton Spectator that DeFrietas got the troops up for the game. “The game was at 5:15 and Dave had everybody ready to go by 4:30. He got everybody together and talked to them.” The Trojans led 19-10, 32-26 and 47-42 at the quarters. Don Campbell led the Trojans with 20.

       In the final, the 2nd-seeded St. Thomas St. Joseph’s Rams defeated the top-seeded Gravenhurst Gryphons 66-57 to cap a boys and girls double. Chris Carron led the Rams with 30. Mike Danielson paced the Gryphons with 20.
