       The 4th-seeded Timmins HVS Blues defeated 9th-seeded Oakville Gordon E. Perdue 52-44 as Craig Campbell scored 17. Steve Duncan and Ron Santiago each scored 10 to lead Perdue.

       The top-seeded Ancaster Royals whipped the 11th-seeded Belleville Moira Trojans 68-50 as Jack Vanderpol scored 22 (also reported as 20)), John Van Loon 14, Hoe Howcroft 14 and Ollie Gleeson 14. Royals coach Bob Wynne told the Hamilton Spectator that “we started off very poorly … but we had an excellent second quarter (and led 38-21 at the half). We just then held the ball and tried to rest as much as possible and still maintain the lead.” Matt Middleton paced Moira with 17. The Trojans also included Bob Hitchon.

       The 5th-seeded Sarnia St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish defeated the 3rd-seeded Ajax Rams 59-51 as Keith Gallivan scored 18 and Bob Lavoie 16. Doug Scotchburn led Ajax with 17. Jim Kakouros added 14.

       In the semis, the 7th-seeded Chatham John McGregor Panthers upset the top-seeded Ancaster Royals 52-45 as Scott Dunlop scored 12, Frank Little 11 and Scott Jackson 10. Jack Vanderpol led Ancaster with 20, while nabbing 20 boards. John Vanloon added 10, while going 10-13 from the line. Royals coach Bob Wynne told the Hamilton Spectator that his troops missed injured starter Shawn Till. “We’re at a different level with him. We would have easily won the tournament. Without Shawn we were down to the point where we were vulnerable and it eventually caught up with us. … We didn’t get the ball to Jack (Vanderpol) as much as we should have. In the second quarter, we just went flat and didn’t execute our offensive in the second half as well as we should have.”

       In the other semi, the 5th-seeded Sarnia St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish defeated the 4th-seeded Timmins HVS Blues 66-49 as Todd Landon scored 19, including 16 in the fourth quarter. Bob Lavoie added 14. Mike Dallaire paced Timmins with 13. Darcy Osipenko added 12.

       In the bronze medal match, the top-seeded Ancaster Royals defeated the 4th-seeded Timmins HVS Blues 50-45 as George Sousa scored 14, Joe Howcroft 12, John VanLoon 11 and Jack Vanderpol 10. The Blues led 20-14 at the half.

       In the final, 7th-seeded Chatham John McGregor Panthers defeated the 5th-seeded Sarnia St. Patrick’s Fighting Irish 40-32. St. Patrick’s tried to slow the game to a crawl, having been drubbed in the opening round by the Panthers. They went into a 1-3-1 zone and kept the score knotted at 12 after one quarter. McGregor led 20-17 at the half and 26-24 after three quarters. Frank Little led the Panthers with 14. Scott Dunlop added 12 and Scott Jackson 10, all on free throws in the final quarter. Bob Lavoie topped St. Patrick’s with 14. Keith Gallivan added 10.
