A week before the tournament, the EOSSA champ Ottawa Glebe Gryphons withdrew. The vacancy was filled a coin toss before the loser of the TSSAA final (North Toronto) and the loser of the TDIAA semis (Brampton and York Memorial). North Toronto won the coin toss.

       The Niagara Falls CVI Red Raiders defeated the Windsor Assumption Purple Raiders 50-47 despite trailing 22-12 at the quarter and 12 points at the half. The Purple Raiders rallied in the third quarter and finally tied the game in the fourth as Larry Triano hit a field goal. Larry Triano later hit two free throws to give Niagara Falls its first lead. Howard Triano finished the game with 19 points, Horbie Logan 12, Bill Burleigh 10, Larry Triano 5, Hanniwell 0, John Sheppard 5, Badovinec 0, Bob MacDougall 0, Jack Fischer 1, Ron Renzetti 0 and Ray Nagy 0. Jack Hool scored 18 to pace the Purple Raiders (coached by Father Charles Armstrong). Ted Zalba added 17, Charles Cameron 2, Robert Kefgen 1, Larry Mushro 6, Len Greaves 0, E Vernes 0, J Hodges 0, L Ouellette 0, Joseph Alvia 0 and Barnie 0. The Purple Raiders also included Edgar Raedle. Two weeks later, the Purple Raiders fell 35-32 to the Windsor-Walkerville Tartans in the WOSSA championship.

       In the semi, the Niagara Falls CVI Red Raiders defeated the Toronto Runnymede Redmen 61-42. The score was knotted at 16 after one quarter. But Niagara Falls clawed to a 33-24 lead at the half and extended it to 47-31 after three quarter. Bill Burleigh paced Niagara Falls with 17. Howie Triano added 15, Larry Triano 9, John Sheppard 9, Herbie Logan 5, McDougall 3 and Fisher 2, while Hanniwell, Badovince, Renzetti and Nagy were scoreless. Eric Kjertine led the Redmen with 14. Gary Vipond added 9, Tom Skimming 5, John Butler 5, Parsons 4, Watson 4 and Saunders 1, while Fleck, Chester, Hanford and Hawkett were scoreless.

       In the other semi, the North Toronto Norsemen defeated the Sudbury High North Stars 46-44 as Vic Kurdyak scored 16 and Larry Scott 10. Frank Bell paced Sudbury with 12. Bob Ross added 9.

       In the final, the Niagara Falls Collegiate Red Raiders captured its third consecutive provincial crown by defeating the North Toronto Norsemen 61-44 after overcoming a four-point deficit in the first half to lead by five at the break. They took over the game in the second half as they breezed to a 62-44 victory. Howie Triano scored 27, Bill Burleigh 14, John Shepherd 12, Horace Logan 7 and Larry Triano 2, while Andy Fisher, Bob McDougall, Dave Hanniwell, Emil Badovinac, Ray Nagy and Ron Renzetti were scoreless. The win was the Purple Raiders 40th straight victory. North Toronto led 12-8 after one quarter but Niagara Falls rallied to 25-30 lead at the half and extended their edge to 43-27 after three quarters. Larry Scott paced the Norsemen with 19. Dave Sutherland added 10, Vic Kurdyak 6, Bill Beamish 5 and George Eakin 4, while Benson, Hall, Halbert, Bruce Swinden and Bob Humphries were scoreless.
