        The Shaunavon Silhouettes dumped the Clavet Cougars 71-50 as Kailey Bastura scored 22 and Christy Sonen 16. Randi Darlington led Clavet with 19. Kara Smith added 8. Shaunavon led 33-21 at the half.

        The Wilcox Athol Murray College of Notre Dame Hounds crushed the Rosthern Junior College Longhorns 67-40 as Polly Duncan Webb scored 15. B. Enns led Rosthern with 14. Notre Dame led 28-22 at the half.

        The Outlook Blues defeated the Indian Head Broncos 53-43 as Janine Brown scored 19 and Megan Silljer 12. Kyla Gwilliam paced Indian Head with 10. Traci Geremia added 9. The teams were tied at 28 at the half. Indian Head went cold from the line down the stretch, hitting only 2-10 from the charity stripe.

        In the semi-finals, the Wynyard Bears defeated the Shaunavon Silhouettes 67-45 as Meryl Jordan scored 20. Both teams struggled early but Wynyard got on track in the second quarter. With the scored knotted at 11, the Bears ripped off a 12-2 run. “We had a great effort but we started off cold, got hot late in the first half and never looked back,” said coach Reid Lozinski. Kelsey Rink added 14 points for the Bears and solid defensive play. Tessa Jordan scored 10 and dominated the boards. “We like to play an up-tempo style, dominate the key and play big in front of the hoop,” said Lozinski. Kailey Bastura led Shaunavon with 11 points.

        In the other semi, the Wilcox Athol Murray College of Notre Dame Hounds dumped the Outlook Blues 76-55 as Hailey Eckstrand scored 23. Janine Brown led Outlook with 19. Notre Dame led at the half 47-23. “We were shaky at first,” said Eckstrand. “But then our shooting started to pick up and everyone stepped up. …It’s a big lead. We got a little cocky but then (after some quick steals), we started to pick it up, putting in shots when we needed them most.”

        In the bronze medal match, the Outlook Blues defeated the Shaunavon Silhouettes 77-66 as Brittany Gross and Megan Silljer each scored 18. Christie Anne McCullough added 11. Christy Sonen paced Shaunavon with 18. Kailey Bastura added 17. The Silhouettes were coached by Tim Miller and Ray Wallace.

        In the final, the Wynyard Bears defeated the Wilcox Athol Murray College of Notre Dame Hounds 77-66 as Kendra Syrota and Tessa Jordan each scored 19. Polly Duncan-Webb led Notre Dame with 14. Wynyard trailed Notre Dame 47-35 six minutes into the second half but picked up the tempo with full-court pressure and went on a 23-2 run to lead 58-49. The Bears never led by less than five the rest of the way and captured their second consecutive title. “The press really picked us up,” Wynyard’s Kendra Syrota, who along with Tessa Jordan rallied the Bears in the second half, told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix. “It got the adrenaline running and got us going all around.”
