In the bronze medal match, the Weyburn Eagles defeated the Regina F.W. Johnson Wildcats 60-51 as Jaelyn Greening scored 30 and Fallon Svedahl 10. Chelsea Cassano paced Regina Johnson with 14. In the final, the Caronport Cougars defeated the Melfort Comets 69-61 as Ricki Brown scored 13 and Christine Janke 12. Anne Leung and Jolene Koenders each scored 20 for Melfort. Caronport led 37-28 at the half. All 12 Cougars hit the scoresheet. “We just trusted all 12 girls,” Caronport coach Dwight Olney told the Saskatoon Star-Phoenix. “We’ve got good chemistry. We were committed, win or lose, to doing it this way.” The Comets rallied to within three down the stretch but Dixie Nidesh and Renee Froese hit critical buckets to keep Melfort at bay.
