In the semis, the Outlook Lutheran Collegiate Bible Institute Bisons whipped the Middle Lake Three Lakes Avengers 93-72 as Matt Edwards scored 45.
In the other semi, the Fillmore Falcons dumped the 2nd-seeded Coronach Colts 77-65. The Falcons rode a 9-0 second quarter run to the win. Despite a slow start, the Falcons took command as guard Barrett Kosiar dictated the tempo and 6-8 post Winston Van Staveren dominated the paint. “We just missed some shots that we don’t normally miss,” said Coronach guard Riley Grona told the Moose Jaw Times-Herald. “It’s a hard one to take. There were some little nerves, it was a big crowd, but it wasn’t really that. We just couldn’t get the ball in the hoops like we usually do. It just wasn’t our day.” Kosiar paced the Falcons with 23. Chris Paslawski added 21 and Van Staveren 20. Brandon Thurlow led the Colts with 28. Grona added 10.
