In the semis, the top-seeded Saskatoon Christian Centre Academy Cougars whipped the 5th-seeded Rosthern JC Longhorns 80-46. “It was nice to get out there, especially on the bigger court. It’s fun to run,” said Reid Thuringer, who led the Eagles with 25. “We’re not overconfident. We know that we’ve prepared. Because of that, we’re confident.” Liam Peters had 20 for RJC.
In the other semi, the 2nd-seeded Regina Christian Grizzlies dusted the 3rd-seeded Osler Valley Christian Academy Lions 65-53. Daniel Nieblas scored 20 for Regina, while Kyle Friesen had 17 for the Lions.
In the bronze medal match, the Osler Valley Christian Academy Lions edged the Rosthern JC Longhorns 74-72 as Lyndon Weber scored 21. Liam Peters led the Longhorns with 34.
In the final, the Saskatoon Christian Centre Academy Cougars captured their fifth consecutive title by crushing the Regina Christian Grizzlies 84-55 after leading 42-22 at the half. Nick Donauer paced the Eagles with 29. Reid Thuringer added 27. Daniel Nieblas led the Grizzlies with 13. “It’s always fun,” said Nate Donauer. “The fan atmosphere was great. We just got rolling … To finish like this is very special.”
