Ches Williamson, a Vancouver official, called the game by himself as no local Penticton official “made the qualifying grade.” The Province called it “a farce. … Minor infringements drew free shots and a larger amount of unnecessary roughness, elbow-jabbing and ‘steps’ went uncalled.” Fogg was whistled for 10 fouls and hit 7-19 from the line. Penticton was called for 17 fouls and hit 0-11 from the line. The BCAA subsequently passed a resolution prohibiting “booing” by fans.
